Betty Boop Home Theatre PC

A HTPC is a Home Theater Personal Computer. These are computers which you would normally buy or build yourself which is solely designed to connect to your television. A HTPC is basically an all-in-one entertainment system.

A basic home theater media pc should allow you to: watch live HD television, watch movies (all formats), record television, play games, view videos/photos, and listen to music.

This PC was setup to run Windows Media Center and be controlled with a Windows Media Center compatible remote. This required an IR sensor. Best way was to use a USB IR sensor.  Due to to Windows 10 removal of Windows Media Center a Harmony Remote by Logitech was used instead which controls several devices including TVs, DVD Players, Home Theatre Speaker systems, etc…  The Harmony remote can control media players in Windows allowing PLAY, PAUSE, and STOP in most applications including streaming sites.

This PC is water cooled through an All in One cooling option which literally keeps the processor at approximately 30 degree Celsius even during hot temp environments. With all of the fans in this PC they keep the overall temps inside at a good level.

Windows 10 with Windows Media Center installed
(Windows Media Center has been removed in Windows 10. It is possible to install it yourself. So far it works. Able to watch live TV. Was a lil quirky on setup but just had to try again. It works!)
